Sunday with Dave: Reading Through Walls

“Reading Through Walls”

Born into the counterfeit of awe,
a lesion speaks in the emulative,
when stillness bargains
to upstage plaques,
new scores replace
old applications,
the grease determines
which revolutions shall profit,
invade and destroy by strips,
if already cutting back,
whether settlement or neighborhood,
wipe clean the previous,
the reproduction debates refugees
tagged as repository for fault,
policy will retrain its issues,
wall building incarnates intent,
seizing both land and key,
some slaves keep occupied,
others lash out not knowing
who presides over their vengeance.
