Jenny’s Oreo Surprise

I love when my “mommy” friends are also Foodie people like me. Jenny, who shared her mom’s Trotter Sausage Potato Soup with Short Stack Story Time, has shared her Oreo Surprise this time around! Check it out and give it a try! Let me know what you think!

“Oreo Surprise, aka dirt pudding to some, is so popular among my family that it’s requested to be the cake for every birthday.” -Jenny

  • 1 bag Oreos (“We always use double stuff!”)
  • 3 Tbs butter
  • 12 oz cool whip
  • 2 small boxes instant vanilla pudding
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 pkg (8 oz) cream cheese
  • 2 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla

  1. Crush oreos (either by food processor or the fun way: ziplock bag and a meat tenderizer)
  2. put half on bottom of 13×9 pan
  3. Blend sugar, butter, and cream cheese together in a bowl
  4. Combine cool whip, milk, pudding, and vanilla
  5. Combine sugar mixture with pudding mixture
  6. Pour sugar-pudding mixture over crushed oreos
  7. Top with remaining half of crushed oreos
  8. Place in fridge for 2-3 hours to set. (You can also put it in the freezer for 2-3 hours to set and taste like ice cream cake.)

Makes 8-10 servings (depending on how big you slice it)
