The journey of legendary football coach Bob Ladouceur (Jim Caviezel), who took the De La Salle High School Spartans from obscurity to a 151-game winning streak that shattered all records for any American sport.

Cast: Jim Caviezel, Alexander Ludwig, Michael Chiklis, Laura Dern
Director: Thomas Carter
Writers: Scott Marshall Smith, Neil Hayes (book)
Genre: Drama, Sport

The movie has gotten fairly negative reviews, but something that the critics seem to forget: It’s based on the true story about De La Salle High School football team of Concord, California. It’s a drama, and many critics are action and/or comedy folks. They expect physical action in a drama, when they should be looking at the emotional action instead. This movie does have its football game play physical action, but it also has its emotional reality check.
